This video is an unboxing of the MSI Radeon HD 7770 Graphics Card with model number R7770-PMD1GD5. The Radeon HE 7770 Graphics Card is by no means a gaming graphics card, it is built for mid grade systems to handle moderate graphics demands.
This particular system I am installing the Radeon HD 7770 Graphics Card into is going to be running AutoCAD and Photoshop for graphics design. This necessitates a graphics card that has sufficient memory and bandwidth to process graphics and texturing. This card is ideal for those circumstances.
Looking into benchmarks, one finds this card is only bare minimum for gamers. The reviews for this particular card from Newegg are 5 out of 5 eggs with a total of 25 reviews and only costs around $125, making it a cost effective mid grade card for graphic intensive programs (but minimum gaming).
The hardware specifications include:
- 640 Stream Processors
- 1GB 128-bit GDDR5
- PCI Express 3.0 x16
Remember, the PCI Express 3.0 also supports previous versions of PCI Express. Included with this unit was a 2 4 pin to PCI Express power adapter, the manual, a driver disk and the graphics card itself. Of course, it also included a sticker for the computer case.
Overall this card looks solid for mid grade non gaming machines and I look forward to putting it to the test.
